1. Eligibility

To use the JRNE App, you must be:

• At least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction)
• Able to form a legally binding contract under applicable law

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to access key features of the App. During registration:

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

JRNE is not responsible for unauthorized access or activity under your account.

3. Description of Services

JRNE provides users with the ability to:

• Browse and request quotes for custom and branded jewellery pieces
• Claim ownership of NFC-embedded jewellery using tap-to-scan functionality
• View product authenticity certificates and provenance cards
• Connect with other users in real life via phone-to-phone NFC taps
• Manage and transfer ownership of jewellery items within the app

These features are subject to change and may evolve as the app updates.

4. Product Information & NFC Functionality

Each piece of jewellery listed or claimed in the JRNE App may include a secure NFC chip that:

• Contains a unique product ID
• Links to metadata stored off-chain or on-chain
• Is associated with a digital Certificate of Authenticity

JRNE is not responsible for hardware limitations that affect NFC reading, nor are we liable for issues arising from improper use of NFC features.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, product descriptions, media assets, and digital documentation (e.g., provenance cards) in the App are owned or licensed by JRNE LIMITED and protected under intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App
• Use JRNE assets for commercial purposes without prior written permission

You retain ownership of any original content you create and upload (e.g., profile bio, nickname), but grant JRNE a non-exclusive license to use that content within the app environment.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes
• Tamper with or spoof NFC functionality
• Attempt to misrepresent ownership of jewellery items
• Upload content that is harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Violate any intellectual property or privacy rights of others

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7. Ownership Transfers & Limitations

The app allows users to initiate ownership transfers of NFC-linked jewellery. While the app facilitates these digital transfer requests:

• JRNE does not guarantee legal ownership or enforceability of physical possession
• Users are responsible for ensuring that physical delivery of jewellery aligns with app-based transfers
• JRNE does not mediate disputes between users over ownership

All transfers are logged securely and are irreversible once completed.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

JRNE may link to external websites, IP licensors, or NFT marketplaces. These third-party platforms operate independently and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. JRNE is not responsible for third-party actions, data handling, or service availability.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity
• Legal or regulatory obligations

Upon termination, your access to app features will be revoked, but historical ownership logs may remain intact as part of the authenticity system.

10. Disclaimers

• The JRNE App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or continuously available.
• We are not liable for data loss, device incompatibility, or user misuse.

JRNE makes no guarantees regarding the resale value, appreciation, or physical quality of any jewellery sold or claimed via the app.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JRNE LIMITED shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of jewellery, data, reputation, or revenue
• Damages related to NFC misuse or failed transfers

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid (if any) for using the app.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JRNE LIMITED and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from:

• Your use of the app or services
• Any violation of these Terms
• Disputes with other users or third parties

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.

14. Changes to These Terms

JRNE reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
